14 years in the Advertising industry pushed Assaad Awad out of the bubble landing him in his own workshop in Madrid. It was an extraordinary move as his peers described. His handcrafted pieces were first showcased by the likes of Madonna, Lady Gaga and Thierry Mugler in addition to numerous editorial appearances in Vogue…
Assaad Awad’s work is known to be Artesian & Vanguardist, respecting the quality and excecution of every piece, designing luxury leatherworks, accessories and jewelry.
Assaad’s extraodinary/Out-of-this world designs worn by international artists, among others Lady Gaga who wore the famous “Wood Dress” on a promotional campaign for her latest album, ARTPOP
Gaga’s ‘wood’ dress is made entirely out of very thin pine wood layers from Asturias in the north of Spain, it was then stitched on a couture dress.
The metal feather of the crown designed by Awad dates to the end of the 1800s (approx 1890).
