Facebook User Omar Abu Omar had launched the #RamadanLens back in 2015, a few days prior to the holy month of Ramadan, to highlight the different aspects of the yearly guest as seen through the eyes of photographers around the world, using social media. It wasn’t too long before the hashtag was spread over and gathered over 120 entries by the nd of Ramadan 2015.
This year, Facebook user and Lebanese photographer Natheer Halawani has decided to relaunch the hashtag and encourage photographers all over social media to take part in the, now, yearly photomarathon, gathering together more than 25 entries in the first few days of the month.
Glamroz will be posting the weekly photos of #RamadanLens 2016. Stay tuned..
You may always follow the marathon on the hashtag #RamadanLens and you may also contribute by posting your own work, just make sure to mention the hashtag and make your posts public (There are no restrictions of any kind).
Last but not least, don’t forget the special event #RamadanLens, which is an official 2-day photowalk!
No fees, no professional gear, no restrictions, no strings attached. Just come over and snap as many photos as you like. Contact Natheer Halawani for more info.
